In 2006 Colleen Graham began a journey into the world of the cocktail and has been writing about spirits, bartending and mixed drinks since. Her main position a About.com's Cocktails Guide has opened up the world of writing about this ever-expansive topic and has allowed her to explore the adult beverage market and culture to in every respect.

Since that time Colleen has written countless articles and blogs about mixology, popular cocktails of today and yesterday, the craft of distilling spirits and the art of bartending. Integrating the talents of Shannon Graham, the partnership has been heightened to integrate the couple's two great passions, journalism and photography. This has led to the development of stories in which the team travels the world to bring back the stories of this fascinating industry in illustrative images and words.

"People have been mixing drinks for centuries but it wasn't until the 17th and 18th centuries that the precursors of the Cocktail (the Slings, Fizzes, Toddies and Juleps) became popular enough to be recorded in history.
